Welcome to Marjorie Harris Clark Roses

Welcome to my website!

Thank you for letting me share my work with you. I am self taught, and for as long
as I can remember I have had a passion for drawing and painting the things that I
find beautiful in the world. I have been a professional artist, selling my work, since
my early twenties. I am now a grandmother, and feel I have just begun!

I paint murals of seascapes, landscapes, wildlife, gardens and marine life,
walls of roses and furniture covered with roses, and portraits, mostly of children.

For many years, I owned a small antique shop and I became fascinated with the
hand painted roses on antique porcelain from France. Something in the curve
of the florals around the vases and teapots inspired me. The effect of large tea
roses growing over furniture and walls is lovely! My roses took over the antique
business and I had a wonderful time trying to keep up with my commissions.

I began teaching decorative painting about ten years ago and in 2004, I taught
my first seminar. I now enjoy travel teaching to share my painting methods. If you
